Brake Switch replace..

I just did the job myself, and ignored the rubbish on the interlink involving removing the bracket etc, that's a PITA on manuals.. But my method is far easier even if you have an auto.. I would like to share this tutorial with anyone else that is daunted by what is in effect a 30 minute job, how does a member post a tutorial, ?..

This will be a good tutorial if it simplifies the procedure…my car occasionally throws up the trans warning light, which I suspect might be caused by the brake pedal switch.
Have a new switch on hand, and replacement is on my ‘to-do’ list.

My 2000 2.0 Auto Z3 did this too, but I put it down to the speed sensor on the Diff. because it almost always followed a very tight lefthand turn onto 1 particular ramp where I used to work.

That’s interesting Tony…certainly warrants some more diagnosis of the issue on my car.
