Santa got me some MTEC drilled and grooved discs for Christmas so when I fit them I want to change the pads as well. Not looking to spend a fortune and have see some Mintex ones which are about £35 front and rear. As ECP have another sale =)) I have been looking on there and they have Bosch, Pagid, Textar and Brembo ones all around a similar price. Anyone have any experience with any of these? At the moment I'm edging toward the Mintex or Brembo. What are peoples preference?

I've used both Pagid and Mintex in the past and seemed to work reasonably well enough. I think around that price point they are all going to be much the same. One of the two seemed to produce more brake dust, and I'm fairly sure it was the Mintex ones.

I have got EBC Ultimax pads to go with my M-Tec discs. I haven't fitted them yet, probably be early next month when I do but they do have a good write up and are around £25 - £26 each end. Said to be very quiet and very low dust.

Euro car parts have a sale? I wouldn't want to miss that, it might not be repeated until.... errr.... tomorrow...?

Car parts for less also have one, unusual for them too...
ECP always around 30%, and CP4L always around 15%
now the cynical side of me would say that their base prices are too high by around 30% and 15% respectively.

Machine Mart must also be due a VAT free offer on their "20% higher than they should normally be" Clarke products.
do they really think we are so gullible?

It's been ongoing for some weeks. They release the discounts to registered customers in batches. A mate at work had his a month ago. I had mine a few days ago.

I've just bought a set of Brembo pads for the Z4 from ECP. Listed price was £80 fronts, £55 rears.

...They price matched to £50 for both!! =))

Who did they price match?
Didn't think about that - going in branch and asking them to price match, they seem very target driven on a per branch basis - in ours as I can see the sales board up in the call Centre room for the local garages. I guess any business they can get over the counter is bonus.

I've got Pagids on the front now (had EBC yellows). Very happy with the initial bite from cold and a few heavy stops I've tried but until it's summer I could really say if they'll match the EBC's for fade resistance.
They are dusty though.

I had Pagid on my Z3 all round, good brakes but fairly dusty.

I had brand new Pagids fitted when i got my MTec Discs and found that you get a lot of brake judder when they are hot and under heavy breaking. I found this out when i was with @MAURICE THE MARTIAN in the Swiss Alps. I ended up having to cruise down the Sustenpasse as they where terrible.

Tbh pagid are ok for general low key everyday use.
But if you to use em for more adventurous driving then you need to upgrade.
I use textar 'e' pads.warmer they get .an more they bite.

I'm edging towards the EBC ones that @t-tony has, will wait for the write up to see how you get on as I'm in no rush. Also got some of the wezmoto braided hoses to fit as well as a clutch hose. Any advice on handbrake shoes as I'll change these whilst the discs are off?
