Brake pad wear light

So today I replaced mt discs and pads, the Brembo pads don't have the wear sensor so I just disconnected the originals, now I have the light on the dash, what do I do guys, thanks

Replace the sensor wire with a new one, only a few quid, the light will go out on its own. If the existing one is in good nick just reuse it.

you can just join the wires together and the light will go out, why do we need to be told about something we should have our eye on anyway.

You can buy the wear indicator wires separately Sean. Andrew Page and Euro Car Parts sell them. They don't come with any new pads for BMW's as far as I'm aware.

the new pads i brought had the holes for them, but as tony says they are a separate item, they are cheap though

I thought they was part of the pad mate, how do they fit, I just binned the pad with it on

they just pull out, i just got a screw driver up against the side of it and lifted them out

next time i wont bother, just going to join the wires up, the problem with things like this is people start to depend on it, i wont change the pads as the light isnt on yet kind of mentality.. i keep an eye on parts like brake pads and discs (i need new discs, on the to do list)

A word of warning Sean, they also have a small steel clip which fits onto the cable end that pushes into the pad backing and this is easily lost when you pull the cable off the old pad, if you don't fit this the connector won't stay put.
