When I put the 325mm discs on mine I fitted Meyle discs and pads, no complaints about either. There probably aren't any bad pads out there, so long as you buy a name you've heard of before.
thank you, i'm thinking about pagid pads so they are matched to the discs

not sure i do enough hard driving to justify silly expensive pads

I’ve got Brembo discs and pads all round for my 3.0 project. But will be ages before I fit and use them.

On my 2.2 project that’s about to hit the road I deliberately went for cheap anonymous discs on the basis a disc is a disc as long as it’s straight. And I concentrated on the pads. So I have gone for EBC Ultimax 2.

I spent an absolute age researching them and finding the best price. I never really found a concensus. And the only conclusion I came to on price was there are few bargains. I’m just getting Brembos all round again next time. I had discs and pads for £148 from ECP waiting for the right offer. I still paid £120 for the 2.2 set with cheapo discs.

I got my discs off here for £50 so have some room to get decent pads.

I'll take a look at the ebc ultimate, they are their oem replacement aren't they .

I think it’s Ultimax rather than Ultimate?

Yes, I only put OEM equivalent on. No go faster stuff.

I used to use yellow stuff for years (bought the car with them so didn’t really know otherwise to compare). I then tried standard stuff which felt better from first bite in the winter but didn’t really do well with proper drive - not terrible but not as good as yellow stuff so I’m back on yellow stuff.
I still think yellow stuff are pretty expensive but compared with other performance pads they relatively ‘cheap’!
