Please pardon my ignorance but I was just about to order a set of discs and pads for my 2000 2.8 when I decided to check the required spec.

I have seen suppliers quoting diameters of 300 and 286 mm. Without actually measuring them, where should I check for the correct size?

Thanks,

Hi Steve, simply measure across the widest diameter of the disc. On a 5 stud wheel lay the tape/ruler across the grub screw hole and one of heel bolt hole to make sure you measuring through the centre. I hope that makes sense.

Steve,

Fairly certain your 2.8 will have 286mm x 22mm vented discs, IIRC the 300mm discs were on the 3.0.

Cheers

2.8 all years 286mm vented discs, just put your vin number in realoem.com, to check actual car, but brakes are generic
