I bought these and fitted them. The ones I bought come in various colours with stainless fittings. The only problem I encountered was with the fixed female nuts on the front hoses, they are different from the originals and don't hold in the mounting where they join the original steel brake pipes. Have a look at the original hose and you will see what I mean.

Earls is a company ft or the x lunch hour, about £25-30 delivered, I've a quote from them on email if you need one.

I recently fitted some wesmoto (or something like that) braided brake lines. Seem OK, cheaper end of the market

I'm also interested in fitting braided stainless steel brake lines.

Brake hoses can jump around quite a bit under hard braking and the BMW design uses the female end with a square section that locates in the vehicle side mounting bracket to stop them twisting and unscrewing. Have noticed that the female ends of the aftermarket braided hoses do not have this feature.

Has anyone else noticed this?

If you are running after market braided hoses, are you worried?

Do the hoses meet your vehicle compliance rules/laws in your country?

I don't know about compliance rules. I suppose you mean construction and use regulations in the UK. I fitted these hoses to my car as I said in my previous post. The rears were fine but the front didn't locate properly and all I could do was to secure the nut with a cable tie, which I must say I was unhappy with. The car is having its MOT test on Monday so I will see what the tester says about it. I personally don't think that heavy braking would be a problem, more likely turning the steering from lock to lock

As long as they're secure and don't allow movement resulting in fouling the wheel or tyre or suspension components it should be fine Alan.
I do know what you mean , some of these items don't have to original style locating lugs etc. on them to keep them in the correct position.

Has anyone fitted the Goodridge or Hel braided hose kits, do they fit the same as the standard ones?

My new braided clutch hose has arrived from Earls :thankyou:

From what I see when testing cars with braided hoses fitted, is that sometimes the "clips" which go under the unions don't always secure the ferrules to the mounting brackets securely, you may need to slightly modify them.
