I've got all the rear suspension out at the moment for power coating and re-bushing. There are a few boot spot welds that have failed and it always was in the plan to do these at the same.
Considering there is a bit of corrosion around the spots welds holding the diff hanger, and I'll obviously have a closer look at those once I clean off the corrosion, should I consider seam welding the diff hanger to the cross member, and the cross member to the boot floor while I've got access? Or would that be overkill?
It's a 2.8 that has survived 145k without needing anything more than factory welds, I'm unlikely to do much more than an exhaust + M50 manifold upgrade. No intentional drifting planned!
Your thoughts folks.
