As title, a member just got a few bits that he was missing, let me know if anyone wants some bits to top up the boot kit.

Spursfan - I'll take anything that is missing from the attached photo (subject to reasonable prices of course) :)

I'll bow to your better knowledge on what might actually be missing as they weren't there when I got the car!!

Thanks Paul

Andy - thanks for the quick and friendly service - very much appreciated. The toolkit addition arrived safe and well this morning

The debate with Claire when the part arrived was whether I was 'investing' in the Zed (my view) or 'throwing even more money at' the Zed (Claire's view). If I need support for my argument I'll be in touch..........

Below is the 'after' picture with the new part in place and having cleaned the whole area over the weekend. I'm rapidly running out of things to clean and polish!

Don't @Forsh - my OCD is already in overdrive. I asked the same question and the last one had just been sold to someone else. I'm now looking for the part (can't remember what its called).

Before I knew it was I missing I was quite happy - but now I know its not there I need to find one and get it!

@mktommo : Haha, that's the reason I'm asking because that's the only one I'm missing and I don't like it o_O

Anybody know what it's for?
Undoing nuts and bolts :)………Sorry couldn't resist. IIRC it is a 10mm socket, the previous owner put one in my car, I do not think that they were in as standard.

You have to bear with me, I'm new to this spannering thing you know :smug:

I'm just wondering what part they felt needed servicing at the roadside so often they needed to add a socket (the wheel chock, wheel locator tool and 13/10mm spanner for for the battery terminals are useful but did they really think buyers of expensive roadsters would be changing plugs themselves so often they needed to a plug socket!)

That said I've thought of adding theboot-lid mounted tool kit as per the the e30/34s etc..it's just nice to have!

Actually just worked it out, to change the plugs you need a 10mm socket to remove the bolts holding the plastic engine cover...

I believe if you were to check most cars using metric size hardware that the lowly ten mm bolt and nut are by far in the majority. I just yesterday tracked a rattle in my friends Fiat 500 to a plastic wheel well cover where the two bolt had loosened off. Size? 10mm! Which socket do you think was missing from his set?? Correct! But I happened to have a spare one so job done and he once again has a full small set of sockets. JIM
