Morning All

Just realised my boot doesn't look at all doesn't matter if I use the remote or not. If I try to do it manually I can flick the key to one side and it comes back to main position not locking it still.

Any ideas ? I inspected the area inside the panel and everything is connected as it should both electrical and mechanical parts. Any thoughts?

Thank you guys in advance.

It will most likely be the 'loom of doom' - wiring breaking where it bends to go between the body and the boot lid.
Very common, there are some good threads on here in the knowledge base or search 'loom of doom' or boot loom wiring and should come up.

Edit to say I see you say it doesn't work even using the key so rules out the wiring loom then...

There is a rod that runs from the centre of the boot mechanism to the boot lock end - sometimes the hooked end drops out - this happened to mine - might be worth checking?

Mine does the same, I replaced the actuator thinking that it was faulty but the problem is still present.

Now I just don't bother locking the boot. Or I lock it manually with a key when I have something valuable in there.

Yours sounds like wiring loom issue as it works manually still.

Hello there,

Yes and I forgot to mention that I checked the wiring there and is perfect no cuts.

Thank you

I know what you mean and all the rods were checked and I actually refitted all of them. They are all in place.

My only problem is the manual lock doesn't work.
