Boot locked me out

You possibly didn’t put the actuator rod back properly. It clicks into place but it’s easy to fail to do that.
Look on YouTube there's a video shows you how to get the boot open.

Just watched the video on U tube as I was curious how it was done.
Basically you have to remove the rear BMW emblem, drill a hole and push the catch.
It would make sense to get a small blanking grommet and drill the hole to suit, so it could be easily sealed once job has been done. And once the Emblem reinstated, wouldn’t see it anyway.
