Has anyone managed to delete their boot lock button ?

I'd like to remove everything but the BMW badge from the rear and control the boot via a solenoid. Has anyone done this ?

Easy enough to do Lex, I did it on my Eunos and fitted a chrome push button on the side of the console. You can buy single C/locking solenoids on eBay for a couple of quid. all you need is a switch, some cable and an inline fuse holder.

Tony.

Hi T, thanks for the reply. I did it myself on my Scorpio years ago but was hoping someone here had done it and had quick reference parts and a wee story for me to refer to.
