Went through a ford with my Z on the last Peaks tour, doesn't directly connect to my Simota but comes real close at about 2inchs. Not a cough or a plutter but then I did take it slow going through and cross my fingers.
Mine is actually lower than @N4LLY but harder to see as it's painted Matt black. This is in addition to my left kidney grill scoop into Simota.
You can get a valve which shuts the ingress of water if you happen to get in too deep but will probably cut motor on a closed airtight system before you get through any ford.
Yours needs painting but did make me smile
