So having got the 2.2 running smoothly, I need to get my head around the rusting that’s occurring, and what panels need replacing / repairing.

Out of interest, what sort of prices could I expect to pay to paint 2 x sills and the rear quarter panel? I’d more than likely be buying new panels which will be primered already...

No mate, thats just to paint the panels,

The rear quarter would more then likely need blowing into the door to get it spot on,

I paid £200 for 2 x sill and 2 x front wings. Sills had stone chip coating as well which I consider essential. Panels were replacements so painted off the car and I fitted them myself.

Have you tried main dealer and ask for a discount , cills are still available I think
I have had some bits from main dealer asked about discount and given 10 percent no problem

Yep, got mine from a main dealer within 24hrs. I think I paid £110 a side.

Got mine from Lloyds BMW in Newcastle (just up from the stadium). Ask for 10% discount and you will probably get it. There is also a BMW dealer in Boldon, which is probably nearer to you. Not dealt with them but they will be able to supply the sills.
If you order before 2pm BMW dealers will normally have them the following day.

Looks like Topaz to me, but it's hard to say for sure without seeing it properly.

I’ve sent a message to the seller, I think it looks like topaz and I hope it is as it’s the panel I’m after! Not sure whether it’s pre or post facelift either
