I recently bought a touch-up paint for my car and I was going to mention the seller. I bought one for my Oxford Green Z3 and now for my Sterling Grey Z4. Excellent colour match. Price very good £4.29 free P&P

Great product and service, very quick delivery.

I wash and dried my car late this afternoon and found this damage on the bonnet, it wasn't there last weekend when I washed it so it has occurred this last week and must have happened in the staff parking area at work. Car wasn't used between Easter Saturday lunchtime and Friday morning last week.
I will ask tomorrow bit I know who did it, Mr. F*****g Nobody !!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

It looks to me as though something was dumped on my car and slid along before lifting.:rage:

It just grabs your eye straight away. Does anyone know if one of these travelling spot repair guys might be able to do something with that please?

Thanks,

Tony.

Could have happened Friday morning on your drive to work, looks like pebble rash to me.
Strange place on the bonnet for someone to have done that.

Afraid it won't polish out Bryan it's down to the metal. Definitely not stone damage Mike, it has dug in down to the metal before being dragged across the bonnet. Plus a stone having hit the bonnet there would have rode up and hit the screen I think.
It's exactly the place someone might have placed something, a box maybe, while they opened their car, I've seen it done many times in Super Market car parks.

You don't know the w******s I work with mate! Plus sometimes you get mates of one of the tyre fitters call in and they pull into the staff car park to disguise the fact that they're there. Also if there is a spare space, every afternoon when on guy goes out for his"dinner" break at any time around 3-4 o'clock, customers park there too. There is a Sainsbury's across the road, people nip across there to shop while in our place.

If that has gone through to the metal, must have been something bloody sharp, but then again, the paint on Z3's is better than that on Z4's.....;)

Too true Mike the Z4 paint is notoriously thin, in general the paint finish on most cars, not just BMW's has got worse in recent years

My Z3 got keyed all the way round, bonnet, sides and boot, did not go through to the metal though.

That's very sad @t-tony. Sad that it's happened, sad it's happened to your Zed. A smart repairer should be able to repair the damage quite easily.

Not good news Tony :( beware of some smart repairers (not all) as its a metallic paint a spot repair may not fix and become more of an eye sore.
I ended up threating to sue the guys that did mine £180 for the job and 650 to put it right ! They paid i might add but there was nothing smart about the pair that did mine !

I feel your pain Tony :(
We had a similar thing happen to drivers door, down to metal. My fault as I had left some steps up in the carport and Dave opened the door on to them. Not a happy chappie I can tell you :( especially as it had only just been resprayed.
Had to take it back to the garage for them to redo part of the bonnet that Dave wasn't happy with so got them to do the door, ended up having to do the whole door. Cost £100, thought it would be more but I think they felt sorry for Dave.
Hope you can get it sorted :)

As HT stated earlier, may have been a large stone from a vehicle - had a similar thing happen to me in a 3 series - had to get the bonnet resprayed - paint blown in from centre £300 by BMW - perfect job.

You might try a BMW garage @t-tony for the smart repair. You might be pleasantly surprised at the cost and the quality.
