Been in agony for 48 hours with a bad back since last weeks car maintenance , so bad I had my kidneys checked and have been to the physio this morning . Haven't slept for two nights , seems prolonged bending over the engine bay was the cause , I never felt anything just a delayed reaction .

Old age is catching us all up to one degree or another and I am sure the cold weather is to blame to.

Feel your pain , had similar issue when stretched across door sill reaching under glove box, bruised side discomfort for a couple of days

I have some drive on ramps which I use to lift the front or rear of the car up, to save having to bend over so far. I find this helps greatly.

Spot on Allan, you can’t beat raising the job up to work on, what ever you’re doing.

Tony.

ps. I had to fit new rear discs and pads on the oil burner yesterday so I had the jacks up to full extent to make it easier. I still have a few aches this morning as it’s something I’m not doing every day anymore. I also noticed I’ve slowed down a little, it took me an hour and fifteen minutes (including winding the calliper pistons back in).

It’s not you Tony, it’s the cold! The very cold weather. And sorry to read of your discomfort @Silver Baz
