Having failed spectacularly to get to this event last year I was pleased to see it’s on again in 2024.
Sunday May 12th 10am-4pm at Denbies Vineyard. Tickets are a tenner if you are bringing a suitable BMW..£5 if not.

Hmmmm still trying to work that out....
There is a large grassed area next to the main car park at Denbies that is exclusively for the event. If you want to display your car as part of the show it’s £10. If you want to be part of the event, but not show your car, then it’s £5. A lot of effort goes into organising the event, so it’s the only way the costs can be recovered. There’s nothing stopping anyone from just going to the main car park and walking across to see all the BMW’s for free, but that be bit of s s&it thing to do. For your £5 or £10 your car gets photographed as you enter, you get a bottle of water, a sticker and a voting sheet to choose your favourite show car. Lots of Z3’s were there last year.

Just noted this is the weekend that they’re closing junction 9 to 10 of M25. According to BBC there will be more diversion routes this time. It states ….

Mr Wade said the May closure was “far from a repeat of the previous closure” as the alternative routes are to be longer and will differ for overheight vehicles and all other traffic.

“Drivers listened to our advice last time, which reduced motorway traffic levels by over two-thirds and meant delays were limited,” he said.

“Our advice again is please only travel if absolutely necessary and make sure you give yourself extra time if you do choose to use the M25.”

I used to use it daily in 1987 when I worked at Gatwick for the summer. Used it again a coupe of says ago on a run out around the Surrey hills, hardly changed apart from a much better road surface.

It’s a nice little bit of road unless you come across cyclists or any other slow moving cars.
