Yep, hangs from the garage roof.

It's a sunny day car and although it's a very good hard top.... It's never crossed my mind to use it.

The only time I've ever actually had it on was when I drove it from where I picked the car up in Knightsbridge to home.

It was purposefully built for the car, but I'm a fair weather driver.

Shame on me!

:)

Supposed to be +8c tomorrow ( abnormally high for this time of year) so might put on the caribou suit and take a winter cruise with the two Trinity's top down.

This master piece of 8 looks gorgeous even with the hard top on!
I was equally surprised 6 years ago when I first seen a 3 with hard top.
Usually roadsters don't look good with a ht, but these models broke the rule......lucky us!;)

@Zeti , I agree totally. I absolutely prefer my car's looks with the HT on both the Zed and. My 58 190sl. Just seems to complete the overall look!! JIM

The Z8 was designed for the hard top to be a part of the car, so it's no surprise that it looks good. All cars were delivered with them. I suspect the hard tops up for sale are from no longer useful (or probably in existence) cars!!!!

But the Z3 is an after market product, and thats an amazing thing when you consider the difficulties in making something looks as good as an after thought. Theres ben a lot of thought put into it.

They both make the cars an all year round pleasure, and if you're a daily user thats so useful.

Just shows what great cars they are and how someone somewhere is always trying to make those "3's" better!

:)

I've no idea what condition it's in.

But when I've done it you can come over and drive it around the UK for a couple of weeks! That must be worth a huge discount!

;-)

I can do this for you Rev. I'll add your name to the list of people that I'm to contact the minute I decide to sell. Fair enough? PM me a phone number if still interested and I can let you know about it. But it is still a project that comes with many OEM parts including new rear fenders still in the MB plastic. JIM
