Hi tony I'm in Manchester area spoke to my mechanic today about car he said he will get z3 running no pressure then. He's nipping round tonight thanksHey @Jlp welcome from me too. Where abouts are you located, there are a couple of members who both went through these type of issues last year and I'm sure they would help with advice if nothing else. As previously said once you get the car running well agin you'll soon forget this.
Tony.
Really sound like you're chomping at the bit and I don't blame you. Many of us are, in a sense, in the same boat, in the respect that we can't drive now because of the weather. Here, in New Jersey, there are constant warnings of small snowfalls which sometimes never come, or end up to the west of us in Philly and we don't get anything. The problem with that is they spray down a brine on the road and I don't like driving the Z over it because of the salt content. Sooooo.................. just sit and wait for nice weather. Hope it doesn't take much to get your Zed on the road. FrankieStill waiting for mechanic doing my nut in now1week been waiting will it ever get fixed wish I could do it myself
Glad to hear he's finally going to diagnose the codes. Let us know what he finds, please. JIMHi spoke to my mechanic comming tonight to plug in z for diagnostic check asked him what he thought would cause car to run so rough and he said somtimes the I think mine is the m43 engine anyway the timing chain can jump but he said he will have to check it so we will see
Hi, just my opinion but might be a good time to look for another mechanic. Can't see this fellow sorting things for you. Sorry, JIMMechanic finally been down no luck at moment my z3 is October 2000 built and his obd wouldn't read codes he said he needs a different cable he's got the ones for under dash and engine bay he showed me the obd and it says link error I will see if we have any luck with a differs cable
