Wanted BMW Z3 Passenger Wingmirror

Afternoon all

New to the website, if I'm honest I'm came to visit for the 'wanted' section... But the website looks like there is an absolute glut of knowledge here!

I drive a 1999 BMW Z3 Roadster, recently whilst driving passed a communal door in the block of flats I live someone decided to open it breaking my passenger wing mirror mounting. My mechanic has said that I need a new / used but functional wing mirror. The electrics still work, the mirror is not broken, but the clasps or clip(?) seem to have broken not allowing me to fix it on. I've seen listings on eBay for just the case for £35 and wondering if, instead of spending £330 on a brand new one, it is possible to put the guts of the broken wing mirror into a new case?

If not... Anyone selling a second hand one or know where I may be able to pick one up?!

I have little to no technical knowledge around this and consider myself a complete layman.

Hi from Canada!! I have the same problem basically and everything I 'be found indicates that the outer case is identical with different guts inside so you should be okay reusing what you have. JIM

Hi ZeeTrois from here near Lincoln,welcome to a great fun forum. You could try Spurs fan in a coupe (Andy) who is regularly breaking a Z or 2. He may have a mirror for sale.
