Hi!
I need some help...
My car is a Z3 96.10.month so pre facelift modell.
Buyed a Wiesmann hardtop (second generation), and a console.
Found a wire harness what will connect to the defrost switch.
But i did'nt found any plug in my car what i can connect to the console (and across the rear window).
Only found a small cable loop on the wiring harness (with matching colors of the plug to the defrost switch-brown, and red).
The car have a hardtop preparation.
Anybody can help me?

Welcome on the forum.
I would personally not worry/bother with the heated rear window, had one on my Wiesmann, never once turned it on.

Welcome, because the Weismann HT wasn't a BMW product and they didn't offer it as an option the 96 wouldn't have had the wiring loom in the console to connect to the switch. And I believe that the Weismann uses a different mounting system than the BMW type. I may be wrong but I'' sure someone will correct me shortly! JIM

Hello and welcome.
I use my heated rear screen most winter mornings. Mine is a BMW hard top.

Welcome! When I had the hardtop during winter it was enough to point the center vents towards the rear screen, it defrosted/defogged in seconds. I don't understand why the hardtop has a heated rear screen...it's literally behind your neck.
