Hello All,

Long time no post. After much thought, careful deliberation and, following recovery from a nasty divorce and even nastier illness (I hope IMG_3185.JPG IMG_3189.JPG IMG_3193.jpg IMG_3202.jpg IMG_3185.JPG has gone for good), I have to accept I don't use my car and it is time for her to go.

She is Titan silver with black leather interior and sports all the usual options associated with the 3.0 litre. The car was purchased by me in 2012. The recorded MOT history and miles read as follows:

Date of registration: 01-12-2000
22-3-6: 4,591
11-4-7: 5,163
1-5-8: 5,474
2-5-9: 5,915
21-5-10: 6,408
30-4-11: 6,874
6-5-11: 6,874
7-1-12: 7434 (Year i purchased)
12-6-14: 8756
31-7-15: 9018 (no advisories)
Total miles in last 3 years: 1,596

When I purchased the car (02/12) I took it to Bensten Motors where every possible fluid and consumable was changed. Since then, I have carried out an annual oil change, regardless of how little mileage done. The car has always been attached to an Optimate battery charger as well. There are no mechanical issues with the car. Of particular note is the technician chalk marks on the engine from when it was built 27-9-00.

As you might expect, the paintwork is beautiful. When first purchased, I sent her to a detailer specialist based in Bury St Edmunds who carried out a full clay bar, paint correction and wax treatment. Unsurprisingly, the car hasn't been driven in rain or snow during my ownership. There are no bodywork issues with the car.

Brand new MOT - no advisories.
First Aid Kit unused.
Tool Kit unused.
BMW radio has pixilated but I did purchase a OE Becker to fit in it's place but never got round to it but it will be included in the sale.

It is HPI clear, and overall still the best low mile Z3 3.0 litre I know of.

My asking price is £13,500. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to pm me.

Thank you for looking.

Many thanks! I'm not aware of M's with similar mileage though for the same cash - if there was, i'd be viewing - ouch, the Boss just smacked me :)! I remember when I bought the 3.0 viewing quite a few M's beforehand but too many had been sadly ragged with high miles so I cut my cloth, as they say.

Nice car but cant really compare it to an ///M. Looks well looked after but im afraid to say i think you have her too high priced. Low miles isnt everything as if well looked after the engines are pretty bullet proof. Have you checked out the market for the 3.0? What are others going for?
Whoever buys it will get a lovely car and i hope they look after it as well as you!

Thank you for your kind replies. She is a beautiful car; I seem to end up with storage units full of low mile cars so enough HAS become enough - so I am told!! I recently also sold a very low mile Jaguar XJS, one of the last made and previously from a museum. I have noticed a change in the car buyer type these days. Everyone who came to view the Jag was looking at it purely as an investment.

However, mileage total has painfully become the byword. It doesn't matter how strong the straight sixes are, wrong mileage and it's game over ! I think the Jag made me realise this so reducing the number of cars makes sense.

I also don't honestly feel my experiences driving the M are that far removed from the 3.0. i agree it could do with a brace under the bonnet but other than that, very very similar. I agree buying an M would be the preferred route but not at double the price and with triple or quadruple the miles on it! However, each to their own and that is respected.

I agree with you tbh. if i had that sort of money and the choice of an M with higher mileage or yours with such low mileage and so well cared for i'd be making you a serious offer....i best start having a go on the lotto !!!!.....Do you do credit ? lol:D
