Bmw f30 question

Hi guys wondering if any of you could help with this,
I have a bmw f30 318d and went shopping earlier and shut boot but the dash is still saying boot open, ive opened and shut it repeatedly and its still showing open on the dash. Does anyone have any ideas with this please

Try finding the boot switch and pushing it in/down to see if the light goes out. If it does, then it's likely an adjustment job.

If it does not go out, then you have to determine if its the switch, wiring or something else. This is where a DC Volt meter (multi-meter) comes in handy to test for voltage at the switch etc. You can test the switch by shorting it out to see if the light goes out.
