I would like to get my Z3 alarm working again. The little light flashes but I have no way to turn the alarm on or off. Does anyone have a keyfob available that I can code to my car?

Try @spurs fan in a coupe - he did have loads. If the light on your existing flashes then you could try to re-program it - or it may need a new battery if signal is weak.

I have no fob at the moment, the light I talk about is the one in the car, the little alarm light. It flashes when I start the car, etc but doesn't flash to say it is armed when I lock the car with the key so figuring I need the remote fob to activate it.

Locking the car with the key will not set/unset the alarm - the key is for central locking only. The panel light should only flash when the alarm is set with the remote (which I now understand you do not have).
Does the light flash when the car is parked?
Suggest you check siren box under bonnet to see if it is on or off? Do you have a `castellated' key for this.
Extract from supplementary manual below for info.

So I need a key fob to be able to play with this. I went to sytners and asked about master key and supposedly for my car the can provide a master key with buttons that will control the alarm and the central locking. Not sure if that is correct so want to try a fob first.

Yes - you need a key fob but the mystery is that the LED flashes when you start the car. It doesn't make complete sense but it is possible the alarm is set but switched off under the bonnet. If it is you need a special key to switch it back on. See pics for info2B9E73ED-8E36-4921-9ADE-A85CD60207EB.jpeg B0869ED7-D552-4161-A602-14BB1BB2D499.jpeg

It only flashes once. It may be when I switch off the car. Can't check at the moment to confirm. At least something is happening with it.
