I have just purchased an e87 BMW 116i for an incredible price to daily alongside my Zed, I bought it with the ABS light and DTC light on neither are caused by serious issues. However driving home the EML has come on it was very cheap so was expecting it haha! The car makes the noise of an old fiesta in reverse whilst accelerating if that makes sense to anyone?
It's quite loud and can be heard over the stereo on medium volume, i'd say it only occurs over 2.5-3k revs. The car is sitting on 114k miles and the timing chain was done at 50k, I've not got much more history on it than that.
Can anyone give me a prod in the right direction as to what the issue might be whilst I'm awaiting my OBD scanner to be delivered?
