Blustery drive in Essex

Went for an afternoon drive today around some country lanes, Donna has just had surgery and was feeling a bit hammered so coffee and cake time. Just picked up a tonneau cover as well (from the bay) and I can't believe how much it smooths the back off. Down the road from us is the Coffee Officina on a farm estate where they roast some amazing coffee, so picked up a few bags of beans and onto a bakery.

So some pics from the drive this was taken at a place called Faggoters lane on the way to Matching Tye. We both love driving this car and are planning a few trips abroad, we hope to get to the Black Forest at some point early next year.

Also can't wait to fit the new(ish) seats as my drivers seat is jammed in the up position and my head just touches the roof.

Looks very similar to the type of road I was on this afternoon coming home from the Doctors Andy, not quite single lane but hardly two lane either. Fun to drive and not much other traffic.

Hi, Tony the roads were empty I guess everyone was chasing Black Friday deals. We came across quite a few horses and the odd cyclist but that was pretty much it.

Went out Sunday myself to the Cotswolds and back 200 miles dryish day for a change.
Took Zed in this morning for the slight rust bubbles on the 2 front inner lip seals
Not that bad but worth doing before it gets worst this winter.
Get it back Friday.

Andy did you know Ron Smith who I think lived in the region who took my son for Beavers football ?
And Tony I knew/know a Mike Steward who lived a few doors down from the Sixteen String Jack no longer there, and Andy I don't remember a speed camera, we left in 2006. When we moved to Theydon in 1983 it had a garage that sold petrol, 4 pubs, 2 butchers, 2 bakers our kids loved it as they do Somerset where we have retired to enjoying gardening and using my cars, my other classic is a 1964 red TR4 which I have had for 5/6 years great fun taking it to shows.
