Hello All,
I have a nice new stereo, with Bluetooth, USB, nice sound, and CD player too...which I might not use much.
Anyway I have a Bluetooth Mic capability, but the wire is attached at the back of the stereo, and then pulled somehow through the dashboard to wherever you wish to place it. The thing is I have no idea how to get it through the dash, or the best place to mount it. But hands-free calling/texting would be ideal.
Mounting is often recommended at the top of the window on the header...which is awkward on a convertible. I was thinking steering column, to avoid wind noise as much as possible. Any feedback on placement?
So, even choosing the steering column, how I get it there is a complete mystery to me. Anyone fiddle with their dashboard enough to know how to work a wire from the center console up to near the steering column without leaving 10ft of cable poking out - ie., semi-professional looking? I am getting pretty decent at replacing bits and pieces of my M, but I have not seen this topic posted about elsewhere, and could use a hand.
