Blocked with leaves

Having a look around under the bonnet l came across this plpe outlet with a flap on the nearside of the firewall and l presume this is the drain for the windscreen? Anyway when l lifted the flap and felt inside it is tightly packed with leaf compost and has prob never been cleaned out.. lve managed to get some out with my finger but it feels like its blocked further up.. anyone had same issue and can tell me a quick fix rather than removing wipers and platic panel below screen?

Try making a hook out of some thin wire Alan and gently dragging it out? A very common occurance this, see it quite often on many makes.
