When I was at college one of the lecturers, a Geordie had a Saab V4. He bought it on the strength of the successes on the rally scene with the Saabs. If I recall right the original Stig drove one.

Yep, Stig Blomqvist. Eric Carlsson was the legendary SAAB rally driver, when they had 3 cylinder 2 stroke motors that howled their way through the forest rally stages
