Archived Billz and Mozz do Euro Trip No 2

Well 8 weeks on Tuesday 6/9/2016 me, maurice and our good ladies are going to Europe for a second visit this year.
We will be doing the Tunnel on the 6th September and driving down to Le Mans, then we drive to La Rochelle then to the Pyrenees before stopping off for a week at a Villa in Javea on the Costa Blanca.

We will then be heading back again coming over the Pyrenees
This will be completely different to the 10 days Euro Trip we have just got back from.

Me and Jue want to Live just outside La Rochelle. It's stunning. The cafes around the harbour is the place to be.

We have changed our plans slightly to accommodate getting there for around 1400hrs so we can have a good walk round and chill before heading to the Pyrenees the next day

La Rochelle is also one of our all time favourite spots that we frequent as much as possible too, we were down in that part of France the year before last, Billz. Following the Atlantic Coastline, taking in the beautiful Cathedral at Bayonne , the route took us through Biarritz, and St Jean de Luz, then over the border in to Spain near Sans Sebastian and on down through St Jean Pied de Port to Pamplona in the Pyrenees, the countryside is beautiful and the roads were really exhilarating and just up yours & Moz's street

Yes, Moz, as they all tend to head to The Massif Central like bees to a honey pot!!! so date was a wise choice!!!

That was one of the reasons for choosing September. Have done August twice and in France you just can not seem to move on the roads due to too many French people on them . I know it is there Holiday season and there seems to be a mass Exodus from France to the Alps, Pyrenees, Coast and Spain

Yes, Billz, that is why we are going over on 4th September down to the Vendeé, much quieter all round, as our young folk are also back at school by then!!

Love to b there but we are taking the zed to jersey that week, will look forward to seeing some fine scenic pictures,, on a similar note, we are fancying a trip to the gorge du verdon and the route de napoleon next yr , looks great. Maybe a group run ? Meantime enjoy your trip

2 weeks tomorrow and we head down to Ashford. Can not wait have not had a holiday or driven round Europe for ages must be all of 9 weeks.

A quick update on this. We decided we did not have enough luggage space in the Zed so we got Maurice the Martian to buy a 325 to carry Kims luggage i also hope he does not start driving like an old man. 1 Week on Monday we will be off
