Best strut brace I have used so far.

I have had 4 different strut braces for the Z3. Including the legendary Strong Strut.
But it has to be said that the one I have just installed in my black Bertini is defiantly the best.
Single piece welded construction so no flex points along the bar.
A decent strut brace is important for the Bertini as the front aluminium bumper carrier is lost in construction. And this new strut brace offers far more reinforcement than any lightweight aluminium bumper carrier. I'm a happy man!
Plus it was only £89 delivered from eBay. So not that expensive. Here is the link if anyone is interested. (I'm not affiliated or related to the company that sells them. Just want to share that I'm impressed).

That's the one. It is advertised as a E36 strut brace. (Most 3 series E36 braces are no good as there is an extra nut on Z3 which tends to get in the way). This one avoids it totally by only having two fixing points on each side.

What is clearance like above the engine as some strut braces foul slightly. Have you fitted it to your ///M version, would be good to see some fitted pictures if you get chance Anthony.

On my 3.0 the clearance is about 2mm. I have not fitted it to my //M Bertini yet. That's got the strong strut on it at the moment. (Which I find has a little bit of flex in it).
When it comes back from the painters I will fit it and see how the clearance is with the S50 engine.

I was looking at these last month, I emailed and they said they weren't Z3 compatible, so I left them alone..

Glad it does fit, I hope

Well it fit my 3.0. So I imagine it will fit all the 6 cylinder Z3s. Good luck and post to let us all know if it fits.

Thanks Anthony, it looks like it might work but hard to tell just from the pic. I'll give it a bit more research, I like the solid one piece construction as I've always thought anything with adjustment points had the potential to allow movement. JIM
