Today, the wife and I were taken out in a brand spanking new, top of the range £500000.00 Rolls Royce.
Her son (my stepson) works for Rolls Royce.
You cannot believe the the kit that these cars have. Absolutely everything
plus a roof lining which looks like a starry night sky , massage seats and umbrellas that slide out of the door as you get out, in case it’s raining!!

Best bit was my neighbour texting me to ask if I had changed my Z3 for a Roller.......answer..no chance
It wouldn’t go in the garage =))

Used to work for BMW and got to go in one too.

They are unreal!

The carpets are so nice

I must admit I was surprised that were only 2 seats in the back !,
Plus enough room to park the Z3 =))

Sounds fabulous but a friend of mine has a beautiful red Bentley and he’s scared of parking it anywhere in case somebody keys it! Jealousy is a nasty trait of human beings!

My good old 96 M44 got keyed all round except for the hardtop, don't know if it was random or I had pished someone off with no balls .... ;)

Anyhow, it was all risk insured so I just got a full respray .... :)

GOOD AS NEW 011.webp

I know exactly how he feels, I was nervous all the time it was parked outside the house in case anything happened to it. And it wasn’t even mine. !!!!!!!!

And it looks absolutely fabulous!

Nice experience - you just reminded me - I must check on my roller............skate!:D

Not sure if already told this tale on the forum, but here goes,
Early last year me and my work buddy had a job at Rolls Royce Motor Cars near Chichester to test and commission a new vehicle ramp for the Phantom's.

When we got there we found that we weren't able to load our test weights onto the ramp using a forklift truck because of a "glass partition" along each side of the ramp. We could only access the ramp on foot and for two of us to man handle just over 6 tonnes of weights was pretty much a no go. We thought we would have to cancel the job and rearrange it for another date.

The shift manager, a young German engineer wouldn't hear of it and said the job had to be done as planned because it was needed for a job as soon as we left site.

His solution was to get a Rolls Royce Phantom and drive it onto the ramp. We were then told to load the required amount of weights into the car and to carry on with the test. He said not to worry about marking or damaging the car.

We did as we were asked and carried on and completed the test and commissioning as planned.

When he came back later to sign our documentation he told us that the Roller was going to be scrapped in the next few days as it was a car that they used to try "new" modifications on, before they were fitted to customers cars.

Most expensive test weights I've ever worked with
