Hi all,

Bit of a weird one to raise but I've been noticing more of late people getting in each others face. This has been an age old issue with people on the internet. I'm guessing it's being compounded a bit more at the moment with people being stuck in at home or generally not being able to get out more.

The thing I find humorous about these arguments is that those involved generally don't realise what a massive arse they make themselves look, whilst arguing over something relatively petty.

Whilst I can stop people arguing, in some cases it's generally fine as long as it doesn't get out of hand. I tend to have a stand off moderation policy, however that may change if people don't fall in to line. Thread bans are the obvious method for me to stop the arguing, and then in certain cases a site ban may be levied. So if you find yourself not able to reply in a thread, then you probably need to reflect on the words you use.

Finally for those who end up on the receiving end of unwanted commentary, then please feel free to use the "Ignore" feature. They can't see you, you can't see them. Harmony restored. Sadly doesn't work against admins, and I have to see everything (sigh).

I use the ignore button for people who irritate me.
I wondered why I hadn't seen any new posts on here for the last 4 months,

I’ve seen a few grumbles the past few weeks and I’d rather fire warning shots now than deal with the fallout. That said, so often the people involved will be the ones who don’t think it’s them.

It could be to do with people being frustrated on furlough from work , some people let little things irritate them then let it over spill. Anyway I am all for peace happiness and light drive safe people on this glorious sunny day

I think the extra time on peoples hands is a likely factor, however some people are prone to it 365 days a year. As I say, trying to cut some slack but it's not a bad thing to remind people to think how they come across (also not be a dick!)

Guilty as charged Your Honour :sorry: Note to self, read many times, think many times about a reply, if in doubt, don't.

This forum is a decent friendly place, not seen anything nasty on here before, other forums can be really toxic, which I just dont get! Not saying which ones but I drive a z4 and am a plasterer by trade:whistle:
