Hi all to who have welcomed me and to whom are members , , here's a wee story to whom I am , I was and now become !!
My first car was a 1985 b reg ford escort 1600i convertible , yip midnight blue with rs turbo alloys !!!
Leaked like a sive but so f...
I promised myself one day I would have another soft top and if it's good enough for bond then me too ,
Got married early got divorced too after a hell of a battle ,then it happened met a fantastic girl and got another shot at life ,
This yr I became the big 40 and we thought mmmm New York , Vegas ect as I was on iPad she said what you looking at , I said of coarse z3,s , let's do that then what the hell , week later I'm in Aberdeen meeting a guy at train station picking me up with a few grand in pocket and taking me to his house to see his z3 ,
The car has had a lot done , gear box , clutch kit , free spinning barrel ect all done by John Clark bmw , brake pads pipes ect so I said sod it , it was heavy rain that day not ideal but good to check for leaks hehe, ,to put you in picture folks I'm more a golf nut than car enthusiast but something now has me buzzing ! I've spent a few quid now on her (z3) and looking forward to doing more , leather interior next yr and a proper polish job or detailing , worse comes to worse paint couple yrs , I'm giving myself budget of 1000 or so a yr for car so if any one can give me tips on leather refurbish , alloys ect give me a shout cheers , any way enough stories for now , cheers folks mini. !!!

Forget the golf - you won't have time ;) - take your car on holiday instead - brilliant way to see more of Europe.:coolsteer)

You may have to ask more specific questions to get advice on leather care / alloy refurb or search forums/beauty parlour.

They are addictive cars, and (despite the messy angry bit) a great back story to your new adventures! As said you can now point your Z3 at the country side and start touring :)

Hi and what a great story! I'm not sure where you are but I can highly recommend Sean at F5 detailing. He did the decontamination of my Zed prior to export to Canada. He sent me 153 pics as he began working his way throughout the car, front to back, top to bottom. He even took out the wheel arches so I could clearly see there was no rust I'd have to deal with. You can reach him at: support@f5detailing.com and tell him I recommended him, please! Also, if that doesn't work for you try Chris at Summit, his ad/sponsorship info is at the bottom of this page. If he personally can't take care of you he can recommend someone trustworthy to assist you. Good luck! JIM
