Unfortunately gone
Received the cables and DVDs in the post. All good so far with the delivery.....but the installation of the DVD's has thrown up some interesting things.
USB cable drivers installed ok
VMware installed ok.
INPA/EDIABAS requires password.....!

I've stopped there because as experience tells me, if this is copied from somewhere else or has been downloaded from a torrent site there's no guarantee that it's safe to use.
Does anyone know of a safe site this can be downloaded from.

BCables, nor the sender of the package (a different name) have replied to my email.

Going on their website the links at the bottom Terms, Privacy policy and contact, take you to a completely unrelated website.

I give up....

I have it all loaded on one of my laptops and i got it from B Cables. The only problem i had is trying to run it on windows 8 and 10. When i get back home i will set it up and see if there is a difference.

I struggled with the software when i borrowed it .it took many attempts to get inpa to load but it never asked for a password.
BC Cables will answer i messaged through the site a question but its was not a quick response.
Strange its asking for passwords as @simonlincs who lent me the software and lead had loaded it fine and used it before sending it to me and he had had no issues with it.

I also got that package and I had to install then uninstall then try again. Major hassle but in the end I got it working on WinXP [only]. I think you must leave the cable in during the whole installation process or you get strange results. Really, the package was a waste of money in my opinion as it is a mongrel to use.

After many attempts I've installed them......nearly 24 hours later! And I take back what I said regarding being had, the seller replied to my emails at 7am. His/her advice didn't work but they were at least helpful!

I agree it is not straight forward and a lot of the bundled software seems unusable or not available but for what I need, the ability to read codes, clear errors etc, I think I is good value. Overall it's a copy of a complex system, that bmw no doubt have significant training sessions on, I have had to make do with google and the excellent knowledge on this forum, and at a faction of the cost of a single dealer read. Might be useful to try and create a sticky reference post on the bm cables system to share experience, still makes me smile when you have to go into the older models tab

Glad it is sorted - I had not previously read any bad reports. I have the old BM Technics Package which works very well and I believed Bcables was the same. IIRC BM Technics took an age to load and there is one module SS Progman which uses a large amount of memory.
