Battery condition

Can someone please advise whether the attached shows my battery in good condition. The circle shows green if it helps. Think I have a newer type battery that does not need topping up but not sure. Thanks.

That is a maintainance free type of battery John. When the "spy hole" in the top is showing green it indicates that the battery is in a good state of charge. A battery with removable cell covers allows you to inspect the level of electrolyte in the battery, but this shouldn't really alter unless the battery has a physical leak ( you would see and smell the acid) or the alternator over charges for any reason (again you would smell the acid in the form of a gas due to the battery overheating). If a battery has clear/opaque sides you can sometimes see the level of electrolyte and wether all the cells are level. HTH
