Hi all,

I'm really happy to see this forum running so well and I'm looking forward to exchange expiriences with our Zed's.

I own 2000 BMW Z3 M43B19TU in very basic configuration which makes it pretty unique. No leather, no aircon, no heated seats, manual roof, no cruise control... Probably the only options were CD changer preparation and the smokers package with the ashtrays.

My goal is to keep this car as close to original spec as possible. I have recently bought the original BMW Business RDS radio to replace my Sony (even though it had Bluetooth). Also looking to buy wind deflector that would fit original fixings and maybe tonneau.

Here you can check more photos of my Z3 on instagram:

Hope I will be able to help sometimes as much as I am going to need help myself from other forum users!

Enjoy the driving!

Welcome...just enjoy it, you don't need any of that stuff anyway its just more things to go wrong.
I remember my first MX5 didn't even have power steering, I had never heard of another MX5 without it, but the driving experience was so much better.

Less but still plenty of things that went wrong and had to fix them in my 2 years of the ownership. I'm close in having it in perfect (within reason) condition and I'm really proud of this. I love it in the corners, hate it on motorways. "Avoid motorways" feature on google maps has been created purposely for this car 😂

I love to see pepperpot wheels on the original 1.9 s, but this is a facelift with the bigger wider rear arches and I think the pepperpots wouldn't really look right. Just an opinion!

Welcome to the forum! Lots of really useful advice here, I am a relative newcomer myself.
Your Zed is almost exactly the same as mine, although I have A/C and electric roof.

By the way if you want a correct CD changer for your car then message me, I have one complete with the bracket, mounting screws etc. I bought it for my car only to find it doesn’t have CD changer prep so I can’t fit it 🙁.

At the moment I am unable to decode the oem radio I bought. I was told few times now EEP needs to be read in order to get the code. Once I sort this I'll try to get some kind of Bluetooth adapter that will work in place of the CD changer. My first accessory on the list is now OEM wind deflector.
