Just watched the latest episode of Bangers and Cash, brilliant. The record sale of £120k for the "barn find" Aston Martin DB6 was worth watching alone as well as the Vincent Rapide motorbike which went for a good price also. Its on Yesterday channel.
Having been to Mathewsons Auctions with the BMWCCNE on a trip out there, Derek the owner is exactly as he comes over on the program, a really knowledgeable genuine bloke. Spoke to the group of us for about 45mins before we had a good look around the showroom, fascinating bloke to listen to.
Also the Aston Workshop (on the same site as the Black Horse - BMWCCNE monthly meeting venue when we get back to normal) is well worth a visit when the next Great North Classic Car Show hopefully takes place in 2021. The standard of workmanship is unbelievable on the restoration projects.
