Balloon under throttle pedal

Just wondering if anyone can throw any light on this - occasionally it feels like when I accelerate there is "air" under pedal, definite hesitation but only every so often? ?

Car is a 2.2 with 90k and can rule out needing a service or plugs or air filter etc. I run it on Tesco Momentum 99 fuel.

Most of the time it runs lovely.

Anybody else experience similar? ???

Possible failing inlet camshaft position sensor, They don't always set a fault code, but have you had the codes read?

Hey Steve, there are some members down that way who I'm sure would read the codes for you if you don't have a code reader?
If you were nearer I would happily do that.
