Ball below antenna broke off

I was installing a new grommet below the antenna, and when I screwed the antenna back on and tugged on it a bit to help get the grommet's shoulder up out of the hole (into which it had slid), the receiver ball broke off. It looks like it was soldered onto a copper base. Anyone have any idea what is involved in replacing it? Can I use the old one (it's got a nut embedded inside the plastic 'ball').

Thanks, Eddie. Mine broke right below the ball. I imagine I could perform a similar fix, then glue the ball back onto the plastic cone. What kind of glue would hold best?
I used bog standard Loctite Super Glue on mine Dave, been ok for 2 years.
