Its like anything connected to the Internet. But they need to get to the device to hack it. I have had an Echo for over a year and find it great. I just tell it to play any song i want and it does ( I have Amazon Music) i can also get it to turn my lights on or off and even the central heating all without having to leave the sofa. I just have not got it to the stage where it will bring me a beer though =))
 
I was going to get Carry one but don't think I'll bother now, the article makes a lot of sense.
 
Tony we are moving into the world of all the sci - fi stuff you'd watch on tv when you were young :eek::eek::eek:.
I reading a similar thing a few days ago about A. I.
There are many predictions by the scientific community about when we will develop proper a.i but if a mean average of all the predictions is taken then the year is 2041.
Then all the sci fi films scearios come to pass .
We let the ai run more and more as they are so efficient.
Governments start doing the same letting them run traffic signs lights etc then intergrate them more and more till some fool eventually has the bright idea of letting ai run the military .
Then 'terminator ' kicks in where the ai decide humans are the problem the set about trying to eradicate us :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::wideyed::wideyed:

My missus does all those things plus a few extras

Very true Steve, amazing how science fiction eventually becomes science fact.

It's something I'm very sceptical about mate. Stephen Hawking has the same reservations about AI too.:(

Proper ai would be a hoover for information and being essentially a super advanced computer could access any piece of that info at any time forever.
Unlike us who forget millions of stuff i really dont know why we are in so much of a rush to achieve this and why we want to make robots that look like humans maybe we are playing at being god .
A really dangerous pastime in my personal view .
