When I bought the Zed I treated myself to a Meguiars DA and some of their products. I’ve been impressed with the results, but I’ve always used AG and yesterday, for comparison, I went back to my usual two stage SRP and EGP treatment.

I used AG Vinyl & Rubber for interior and exterior. I also treated the new soft-top with the AG protector, after leaving it to stretch in the rain for 10 days.

I think AG produces a noticeably better finish.

Some photos, including the valeted interior and engine bay.

I just love cleaning this car. The X5 needs doing, but I can’t raise the enthusiasm today.

I mainly have Autoglym products but do have some Meguiars and Auto finesse products as well .
I always find myself back on the AG products as they give a reliable and consistent finish across the range of products they do.

I have loads of different polishes and waxes, sealants and all sorts but for the money and effort it takes it would be hard to beat Autoglym SRP followed by EGP. It's a great combination and gives brilliant results. Looks brilliant on your car

I invested in the new AG Ultra High Definition Wax and I am really liking the results it is quite expensive but dont mind paying a bit extra if it's a good product ( I bought the kit with the ultra high definition shampoo from halfords with my trade card and it worked out a great deal compared to individual cost )

Always have used AG products but now I'm sold on the Poorboys products. Not that I'm a detailing guru you understand

Well you certainly did a good job with Poorboys. Never tried it, but might give it a go.

I really liked the ease of use, the glaze and wax went on and off effortlessly, be interesting how long the wax lasts before needing a top up

Your roof and rear window look amazing. Mine is the original, but has some wear marks on it. Did the AG product remove these marks?

I've got stacks of AG gear, it's in a cupboard collecting dust, my wife went mad one xmas and spent a fortune on it, she assumed that because I had a nice car I would spend hours detailing it, it gets a wash and leather every now and again :), looks ok though,

These pictures were after the new roof was fitted.

The old roof and rear screen were really good though. When I bought the car I treated the rear screen with Meguiars Plast RX. It did improve the clarity and removed the more noticeable scratches.
