auxilliary fan

my auxiliary fan on my 2001 3.0 sport dosent work the rad sensor is new and i have jumped the wires to check the fan works on high and low.
any ideas ?.
i think the relays are on the left hand side of the engine bay although not 100% sure.

If you mean the fan on the bumper side of the radiator that's for additional cooling when the air con is in use (as an auxiliary method of drawing air through the radiators specifically to cool the aircon condenser radiator). Don't think I've ever heard mine come on particularly.

The viscous fan provides the cooling by drawing more air through the radiator - and generally sounds like a jet taking off when it's needed. I've heard that kick in plenty of times on a hot day..

Are you having issues with your engine overheating?

No car is not overheating was in the process of changing thermostat and though I would do the viscous delete mod. I have changed the sender to a lower temp one but the fan doesn't come on when the air con is on.
Just trying to figure out why it's not
