Stopped off at the Ashford Arms this morning for a coffee.

One thing lead to another and we ended up ordering breakfast.

We sat outside on the patio and the food was great so we decided to have a nosey inside and were suitably impressed.

Then a walk through the village to the bridge for the Ashford in the Water money shot before heading back by Hathersage & Ringinglow.

Little John's grave is in Hathersage, have you ever stopped off ?

When I'm nearby its usually a Saturday and I find the parking is a bit rammed, so never managed it

I think we might have been to see it with School but as you'll appreciate its that long ago I can hardly remember.

However, I have sat in his chair in The Scotsman's Pack - with a lovely pint of Milk Stout if memory serves :thumbsup:

Worth a visit the Scotsman's Pack but the parking is horrendous - its just on the right as you come down to Hathersage from the Grindleford side.

The Ashford Arms is really nice though and we will definately be back for dinner. On arrival the car park looks really small but as you drive round the back it really opens up with plenty more spaces.
