Are you sure you haven't got any other errors? That can appear with 71 pump motor. Which is a knackered module on the ABS pump.

No other error messages. Wheel Speed Sensors are all fine. ABS Test worked with no errors so assume ABS Pump is fine. Once the computer throws this error code it then throws the EML light which shows errors on the Throttle Body. Have checked everything on induction side; MAF, ICV, Resonance Chamber and even replaced the Throttle Body. I think the EML is only coming up because of the ASC 'Fault' and so it is cutting the power via the throttle body.

Idling is perfects, its' only when pressing the accelerate pedal does the ASC light come on followed 2 seconds later by the EML light.

I had a double act of ABS and throttle body errors. It caused a breakdown. But that was a faulty throttle body and you say that's already been replaced.

Can you post the throttle/DME errors?

After the ASC error the car then gives:

DME - A9 DME: Engine-throttle output - stage shutoff after diagnosis error
DME -72 DME: Activation, engine throttle (OBDII: P1580; EUII: P0505)

The ASC module is a MK20E_I

Now we are starting to get the real data needed.

So you scanner is giving you code numbers in Hex. Knowing that will make a difference.

ASC- 94 (Hex), 148 (Dec), CAN ERROR – Engine speed (RPM)
DME- A9 (Hex), 169 (Dec), Throttle Valve Output Stage Cut off after Fault
DME- 72 (Hex), 114 (Dec), P1580, Throttle valve mechanically stuck

I've seen the 2 DME codes before on a M52TUBXX engine. The cause was a faulty ABS module. The owner spent weeks and lots of money working on multiple MDK replacements, idle control valves, changed engine looms etc before changing the ABS. The ABS module fixed the problem.

I might give that a try. Plenty on e-bay for £30 isa. I have tested the wheel sensors and they are fine and also ran the ABS test using INPA and that worked fine as well. I'd be curious as to why replacing the module will solve the CAN Error though?

Logically you might be led to think its's a Crank sensor hence reference to the RPM, however the rev counter works fine and she idles perfectly.

Afraid not. Car is with a specialist over in Manchester and they have another car with exactly same symptoms as mine. They are doing it in between jobs.
