Are these original wheels?

I am new to BMW Z3's and this community has been fantastic with advice.

Are these the original wheels for the car?

How do you find out your orignal car spec?

Don't know if they're original to the car but they do look like BMW Style 36 (pepper pots we call them)

some members here know how to get spec sheet how the car was originally supplied. Maybe using chassis number? That should tell you what wheels the car was supplied with..

Think these were "poverty spec" wheels at the time, but look rather good now IMO.

Would they originally have been silver or the dark grey they are now, thinking of trying to be as original as possible.

Silver, but dark grey looks better IMO.
Had my wheels done in "Shadow chrome" so am biased!

Hey! Some of us spec’d those wheels because we liked them at the time, not because we couldn’t afford anything else.

Personally I think the pepper pots are the best looking wheels for a z3.

But 15" so not ideal if you're a seat-of-the-pants fast road/track driver because you can't put low profile tyres on them. But for long distance touring the higher profile tyres will give a softer ride.

I only bought mine for the colour and the wheels. If either had been different I wouldn't have looked at it, but the combination of Boston Green and pepperpot wheels sold it to me.
