Sunday 22 April and we spent the day at ANZAC's in Action at Geraldine Airport to commemorate the feats and commitment of the Australian and New Zealand Army Cor's during the world wars.
Now this is a small New Zealand community affair with displays of war time farm craft, traction engines, vintage cars and of course military equipment. It was complete with mock trench systems and live fire (blanks) battles between the trenches. As you'll see in the photos, a single line of rope was used to keep the pubic out of the trenches during these battles. All the military equipment came out of personal collections There's more than hay in those farm sheds in the area.
Shirley and I attended as part of the convertible car club. We were pleased to see 4 Z3's turn up. It was a fun day with lots of chat and things to see.
