Ronnie's headlights need a good polish, typical yellowing. I've always used the holts kit where you sand with a drill etc. This seems a bit

to simple to be true? Anyone had decent results with it or shall I stick to the holts kit?

Got some in my cupboard Dave, brought it back from Florida. Good product. It seals the plastic too so it stays clearer for longer.
The headlights on the E85 are notoriously p*** poor. I put Osram Night Breaker bulbs in mine which improved night driving immensely. That is unless it has the upgraded headlights from new.

Tony.

ps. Still use that product with a drill though.

I assume standard mate, halogens i think. No sanding then, just a wheel pad on a drill and the cream?

If the lenses are deeply scratched and need sanding Dave I have all the different grades and you're welcome to come and fetch them if you want? Most E85 had standard halogen lights, which were terrible. at best mate.

I'm guessing you weren't impressed when you had a spin the other night. This was mine with Osram bulbs fitted. I did this to show Bozzy how much better they were.

And, for amusement.

I have sanding discs mate, they are really yellow as they go now days, probably worst I've seen to be fair, happy to do them, just wasn't sure if this stuff would be good enough to deal with it.
I've only driven a mile at most as it was dropped off the trailer so couldn't really comment on it yet, if they are anything like on Jues car they'll be utter rammel lol!

I'll give you one tip mate. Use plenty of water via a fine spray bottle (such as an Andyglym bottle) mask round the light well and wear clothes that don't matter. Oh, that's 3 tips.=))

Yes have used the Turtle Wax product on my Z4, brought the lens up nice and clear, more times you apply it the better they get. Seems to last a long time since I did mine.

I used a holts headlight polishing kit to do mine. Since then I give the lights a quick polish with the turtle wax sealer every time I was the car. It only takes a few seconds.

I have had a go with this today and have to say for how cheap it is, it's pretty bloody good! It has revealed some crazy cracking in my o/s headlamp but that's nowt to do with the product. I may end up replacing the headlamps, will see how they look when I've finished the rest of the car.

That looks like it needs the sanding paper treatment Dave.

What grades of discs have you got?
20231120_153002.jpg

Just use plenty of water to lubricate it.
