Got the normal wobbly mirror problem, used a different firms repair last time (mirror whacked by some ar5ewipe in a car park), thought I'd give this a try, looks like it might work better than the last one.

Used X8Rs' Vanos repair kit in the past, no quibbles there.

X8R are just brokers for the product, I have not seen these items in use but think they are a great idea and am sure they will be fine, the original site for these is here.

All good, then. Hope it turns up soon, the base is badly corroded anyway, the whack just made it floppy enough to swivel in an annoying manner. Even went to Halfords specially for a tin of Topaz Blue and one of clear lacquer.

Ordered it Thursday afternoon, turned up Friday morning. Can't ask for better than that. Comes without paint, so a couple of coats of etch primer, and four coats of blue on today. Bit of gentle rubbing down tomorrow, couple of coats of lacquer and the job will be done. May even stick a couple of pictures, old and new, on here. There's exciting.

Well, it's on, and fits a treat. If my opinion counts for anything, this is a very fine product, and I'd recommend it if you've got the same problem. May even get one for the other side, get rid of the corrosion problem forever. So where's the "really pleased" emoji?
