Hi all,
Does anybody know a decent E53 specialist (4.6is). The beast is playing up (wouldn't start just a loud click) so off it went for a new started motor (had a new alternator last year, battery is fine, service history is very good and was no issue the day before it started the "Click"). Garage fitted new Started motor and hey ho after 6 starts they advise the "new" starter motor had burnt out. So they got another one installed (on the basis that the new one may have been faulty) and again started no problem but after 6 or so goes stated the "click" (no starting) has reoccurred (this time they advised that they saved the starter motor and it's not burnt out). Now the OBD port was talking fine before it went down and now they are advising that its not talking at all (which I find somewhat strange) The inevitable suggestion is .... scrap it which is a crying shame for a car that's only got 70K on the clock and is in great condition (I just love that V8). I'm in Surrey so I know all the usual suspects in Camberley/Hook but it sounds more like it needs a specialist auto electrician.. Any help much appreciated.
