On my Z3 I have style 78 alloys.. Three are near perfect however one rear has slight corrosion which the last powder coating didn't sort out

Has anybody had success getting rid of this sort corrosion? Could I use wet and dry to try to polish it out then get the wheel refurb Ed?

What you have suggested with wet and dry is exactly what I'd be having a go with. 👍

Please let me know how you get on.. I don't mind spending time (hours if necessary) with elbow grease doing the prep if I can then take it to a wheel refurb place to be powder coated

That’s pitting that should of been filled before powder coating, a lot of companies can’t be bothered and just hope the coating fills most of it in.

I'm not doing it, all mine have just been done but if I was that's what I'd be doing.

As said above you won't sand that out, not without leaving a big lump missing anyway. It's salt that has eaten the alloy away, or a dodgy bit of casting that has caused a problem. Aluminium filler (Halfrauds sell it) then sand down and repaint.
Only downside is you will need to match the powder coat colour perfectly or it's a complete wheel (or all 4) repaint. Powder coating is impossible to match with spray paint too IME.

I want it powder coated as it also has a scrape on the rim..unfortunately if you put that filler on it unsticks or melts once the powder coating heat is applied.. Just trying to seek any other ways of hiding the corrosion
